LISA MARIE CHEN
HI, I'M LISA.
Hi I'm Lisa. I'm currently the Director of Design at IBM Business Automation. I leads a global team that designs strategies, programs and initiatives for AI-powered automation software. I thrive at the intersection of design innovation, research, and business strategy. Since joining IBM I've worn many hats from co-creating with clients and business partners through the IBM User Experience Program, improving market perception by partnering with Product Management and Sales, and most recently hosting a bi-weekly livestream on IBM Communities with Marketing called Explore.
Prior to joining IBM, I spent several years in advertising helping brands disrupted by technology to understand how to successfully leverage it to connect with their customers. Before that, I spent a number of years in publishing as Editor of Chief of Toyota Canada’s Scion Magazine, and founder of the first Canadian Asian lifestyle magazine called Blink. I hold an MBA from Schulich School of Business, where I currently teach strategy part-time in the Masters of Management. I believe in the power of AI to make us more human, the art of storytelling in business, and the impact design can have on strategy through radical collaboration.
